Miracles do happen...........

What goes around comes around...............
Sorry friends I had to fly in panic and didnt managed to inform anyone as my mum was fighting for her life in ICU, I left for India on 13th of April and have personally witnessed a miracle..........

Mum has spend all her life doing things for us and others, she has made us what we are today, she is a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, friend and a loving grandmother, we have seen her playing all the roles with perfection, but above all she is a very nice human being, she has touched many peoples life with her wisdom, helping nature and a calm and warm personality, all our life we have seen her doing charity, helping people, helping families settle in hour of need, marrying off girls who dont have parent or guardian and much more and the amount of hands that were raised for prayer when she collapsed were MANY, and Allah did answer all the prayers and life came back to my Mum who is otherwise in a final stage of Alzheimer, she is concious, started eating yesterday and talking today Mashallah, I dont feel like raising my head from prayer thanking Allah for his mercy.

Mum has come around well and recovering and for all of us who have seen this turnaround its nothing short of miracle, she has come back to us and we have seen this happening right in front of us, she is recovering in KIMS hospital, a wonderful hospital with the best facilities and specialised staff.

Dad has got her sweetheart back and us sisters are thrilled to have her and nurse her back to herself.

Although I am busy nursing her back to her health, just wanted to let you all know what I am upto and whats happening with Mum, its a pleasure doing things for her, she must have done the same for us when we were little, so now I learnt to understand her by the way she breathes, watch her yawning and wish and pray that she walks and talks soon, same as our mothers did for us when were little, isnt it a lifetime opportunity to be able to do what our parents have done for us, it is a blessing but along with that all of us sisters get time to spend together, read, watch tv, enjoy IPL Cricket in a posh airconditioned hospital, doesnt sound like a hardwork, does it.

No doubt that I miss Naushad and girls heaps but I know they are the backbone of my system because of whom I am able to do what I want to do - God Bless Them and you for sharing this time, this emotion with me and being few of those hands that were raised for the prayer for my mum.

A lesson is always learnt and here it is, what goes around comes around, always be on right path and do not think twice before giving a helping hand, you never know how that might please Allah Almighty, making whom happy is the purpose of ones life.

Will catch you again soon...........keep well

Prayer for my mother, every mother......

Hello Friends, my apologies for delayed post, was busy with everything else, family who missed me heaps while I was away, Mum who I left back in India who needs me now more than ever, a typical woman's life always torn between the two worlds- our own young family who can't do without us and also our own old family who is now not able do without us, the dilemma every human woman lives with at some point or other in her life......

Do remember us in your prayers.......

Dear Allah

Please bless every mother and

Please bless every mother who has Alzheimer’s disease.

She was with us children as we learned to walk.
-- Guide her uncertain steps today as her balance fails her.

She taught us to cross streets and be safe.
-- Help her not to get lost, even in her familiar surroundings.

She held us close in the terrors of the darkest nightmares.
-- May she not be frightened today by the reality of her life, which is strange and totally out of her control.

She cooked thousands of meals over decades of time.
-- Please allow her to accept the caring hand that now feeds her.

She changed diapers, Lord, and served us each time.
-- Please give her now the humility and grace to be served in this way.

Loving God, the familiar eyes of my mother
now respond with a blank stare.
She is unable to carry on a conversation,
to ask about her family
or to serve in the central role she has in our family.

Help her accept the surrender of her life these days.
Open her prayerful heart and fading mind
to be aware of your presence with her,
perhaps now closer than ever.

Give us, her family, the patience, courage and acceptance
to love her as she is and to support her in her daily needs

Am flyin to India today..........

54730e2a704b7d8e0d192449dba946db.jpg

-to see Ma and Pa,
-attend my neice Nimmo's wedding (on 9th and 10th)and
-personally congratulate team india for their rocking victory over arrogant kangaroos, as a quote goes,“Victory is sweetest when you've known defeat.” they made every indian proud, winning is one thing, beating THE AUSTRALIA is yeeaaahhh feels too good. A dramatic end of a gruelling tour that saw as much drama off field as on field., enjoyed every bit of it.

"Earlier this week, India stormed to victory in the under-19 World Cup. We are a nation on the rise (oohh yeeeaaaahhh)

Naushad and kids are staying back as the first one is too busy at work and the second ones too busy at school, so I am going to take sometime and enjoy the wedding and spend some quality time with my parents, perform my duty as a child to my parents.

"Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or more attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say, "my Lord! bestow on them Thy Mercy, even as they cherished me in childhood." (17: 23,24)

Will come back and tell you all about it, maybe by the end of this month, in the meantime
enjoy, be good and MISS ME............

Happy Birthday Pops.......

You will always be the bestest man of my life........

b6e62b6d7fd9d23c215629eac203d9c5.gif

BEFORE I WAS MYSELF YOU MADE ME, ME
Before I was myself you made me, me
With love and patience, discipline and tears,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,
Allowing me to sail upon my sea,
Though well within the headlands of your fears.
Before I was myself you made me, me

With dreams enough of what I was to be
And hopes that would be sculpted by the years,
Then bit by bit stepped back to set me free,

Relinquishing your powers gradually
To let me shape myself among my peers.
Before I was myself you made me, me,

And being good and wise, you gracefully
As dancers when the last sweet cadence nears
Bit by bit stepped back to set me free.

For love inspires learning naturally:
The mind assents to what the heart reveres.
And so it was through love you made me, me
By slowly stepping back to set me free.

Dad I will always remember the couplet you told me before
I left you and still learning to live life on those terms:
Khatavaar samjheji duniya tujhe!
Tu hudd se zyaada safaai na de!!
(khatavaar - guilty, hudd - limit)

Think about the memories
Passing years can never mar,
Experiences great and small
That have made us who we are.

Another year is a happy gift,
So cut your cake, lets celebrate,
"Instead of counting our birthdays,
I count our blessings every day!"

He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it. ~Clarence Budington Kelland

Father! - to God himself we cannot give a holier name. ~William Wordsworth

One father is more than a hundred Schoolemasters. ~George Herbert

Blessed indeed is the man who hears many gentle voices call him father! ~Lydia M. Child, Philothea: A Romance, 1836

It is much easier to become a father than to be one. ~Kent Nerburn,

Any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad. ~Author Unknown

I love my father as the stars - he's a bright shining example and a happy twinkling in my heart. ~Adabella Radici

There's something like a line of gold thread running through a man's words when he talks to his daughter, and gradually over the years it gets to be long enough for you to pick up in your hands and weave into a cloth that feels like love itself. ~John Gregory Brown, Decorations in a Ruined Cemetery, 1994

“One night a father overheard his son pray: Dear God, Make me the kind of man my Daddy is. Later that night, the Father prayed, Dear God, Make me the kind of man my son wants me to be.”Author Unknown

Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter. In love to our wives there is desire; to our sons, ambition; but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express.”
Joseph Addison quotes (English Essayist, Poet, Dramatist and Statesman, 1672-1719)

My father always told me, "Find a job you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life.”

Leave you with this note:

Every single person has capabilities, abilities and gifts. Living a good life depends on whether those capabilities can be used, abilities expressed and gifts given. If they are, the person will be valued, feel powerful and well-connected to the people around them. And the community around the person will be more powerful because of the contribution the person is making.
